Did you know half of smartphone users have scanned a QR code and 18% of people who scanned a QR code made a purchase, according to a report commissioned by the Chadwick Martin Bailey research blog
I am sure you have all seen QR codes even if you are not quite sure what they are or how they work.
They are appearing everywhere as more and more people are using mobile devices to access the internet. Businesses use them on their advertising ,business cards, websites etc.,they are used to offer coupons and discounts, you are only limited by your imagination.
QR codes are a type of matrix barcode (or two-dimensional code) first designed for the motor industry. The code consists of modules arranged in a square pattern on a white background and can be scanned with a smart phone to get instant access to websites or to show other information.
I am creating a variety of QR codes as part of a new service I will soon be offering.
My new service will be a mobile website for businesses. When people search for your business on a mobile device they will automatically be redirected to the mobile version of your site thereby having the best experience.
As you probably know most traditional websites don’t display well on mobile devices and now that one in seven searches are now carried out on mobile with mobile searches quadrupling over the last 12 months it will be essential for businesses to have a mobile site along side their existing website.
Anyway I thought I would offer you the chance to get a “done for you” QR code for your business whilst I am doing this work.
So just give me the url of your website, facebook page or anywhere else you want your visitor to go when they scan your QR Code, along with the sizes you would like and the colour and I will create the code and send it to you.
If you would like to be notified when my new mobile web site package is released and qualify for an “early bird” discount just add “keep me informed” on the contact form.
The size you require will depend on where you are going to use the code but it is generally recommend that size 3 and above will give the best results with regard to the phones reading the code
I have put a few examples below
